a classical musician, performing with the Red Deer Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, National Ballet Orchestra, and the Tenerife Orchestra.
He has worked with electronics most of his life and has maintained a career in both technology and the fine arts. designing and assembled measurement devices, control systems, power supplies, audio signal processors, amplifiers, gas LASERs, RF transceivers, and antennas for communications in the VHF, UHF, and the SHF frequency range. A “Ham Radio” operator, holds an Advanced Amateur Radio Certificate (Canada) and was first licensed at the age of 13.
Other ongoing creativity includes film photography in a traditional darkroom environment and music composition.
