Poetry
We are all pages tumbling on the floor
sunlight passing through widening doors
All poetry and insight and grace
Barely holding on to this human race.
Changing faces and learning to cope
With developing and devastated hearts
Breathing and dancing
Chances given because you are holing
Onto some kind of faith.
Trying to equate the tenderness
feeling less of something more
Daring to take flight with widening wings
The emotion fluttering and folding within.
We are Mortal and tragic
Magic and reality grasping
Everlasting slight of hands
Chances lost and wisdom gained
A teardrop mixed in endless rain,
We are made up and imagined
We are songs part of the land we ravage,
The torn earth and the dirty water
An ecological disaster and a sweet
Hereafter.
